Welcome to the first ever Wedding Photography Diaries… my new series on Alice In Weddingland {so excited}! This series is set up to give you hints, tips and awesome ideas for your wedding photography.  I will be featuring some of the best photographers in the biz along with special features, loads of creative ideas and brilliant advice straight from the experts – this will be your definitive guide to spectacular wedding photographs that will be your legacy, your pride and joy!

As most of you know I am a bit of a photography nut, a wanna-be photographer {I so wish} who obsessively trawls through photography books and websites {I am truly a photography stalker} 🙂 and as my readers know so well, I am passionate about wedding photography and the legacy that will be your wedding photographs.

Wedding photography, to me, would be my top priority and my top money spend if I were to get married again {which I secretly hope to do next year as it’s Hubby and me’s 10th anniversary}.  If you haven’t yet come across my insistent, and sometimes borderline Mrs Doubtfire attitude towards your wedding photographs and their importance, a couple of older posts on wedding photography will give you a great introduction.

However today, I just want to showcase a few brilliant photographs of The Bridal Party that will give you some ideas for your wedding photos.  Have fun when you have your Bridal Party photos done.  Forget the stock standard line-up or sit down and say “cheese”, instead experiment with ideas with the members of your Bridal Party before your big day and get an idea of what they would or wouldn’t do; devise a secret plan and have a ball.

The frabjous photographers:

Some great ideas to ponder. So go for it!  Unleash your creativity and chat with your photographer about what sort of ideas you could do on the day.  Most importantly, with your wedding photography, have fun and lots of it – you get to be Britain’s Next Top Models for a day!!! 🙂

In the words of Cecil Beaton, English Fashion and Portrait Photographer (who incidentally has taken photos of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and The Queen)…

… “Be daring, be different, be impractical“!

I’ve never followed trends as I disliked being just one of the crowd so my love for things that are different, unusual, beautiful and stylistic that I’d had all my life transformed into Alice in Weddingland.
