I‘m breaking my tradition today – that is – reverting back to tradition, and squealing and ‘oohing’ and ‘ahhing’ over this wedding and all the traditions involved; my favourite being the traditional veil (beautiful, elegant and so romantic!). This wedding is the epitome of stylish, elegant and fun.
Chloe and Jonathon live on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia, a local haunt of mine while growing up, packed with sunny golden beaches, beautiful palm trees and happily tweeting birdies. A lot of couples who live in Brisabne, where I grew up, commonly go up to the beautiful Sunshine Coast to get married but Chloe and Jonathon did the reverse and were married in Brisbane in a huge family affair, even Jonathons Dad, who is a pastor, had the unique opportunity to declare them both Husband and Wife!!! How’s that?!
… oh, and it’s my favourite style of wedding photography – Documentary style!!! Be prepared to be evoked!
An Aussie wedding, Brisbane style
Mmm, beautiful photos! I love the simplicity and beauty of the bridal gown against the hard architectural background as well as the graffiti on the old train. Frabjously spectacular!!!
I love this wedding for several reasons, the photography, the choice of traditions used, the unique fashion shots of the Bride and Groom and in particular, because it’s where I grew up and seeing these shots brings back beautiful memories! I think I better go pack a bag!!! 🙂
What’s your favourite shot in this wedding? Do you like the use of different environments for wedding photos, like Chloe and Jonathon did by being photographed around buildings and in an old train station?
I’ve never followed trends as I disliked being just one of the crowd so my love for things that are different, unusual, beautiful and stylistic that I’d had all my life transformed into Alice in Weddingland.
