I can not tell you how much fun the National Wedding Show was last Friday! From the moment we walked in, right on opening time, right up until we dragged ourselves out of there, tired feet and all, (many, many hours later) we were consumed by all things gorgeous and wedding!!!. And as a people watcher, it was a delight to see so many Brides with their Mums or their BF’s, grinning like Cheshire Cats as they looked at the myriad of inspiration before them.
Like any show, The National Wedding Show acts like a central hub of vendors from around the UK so that you don’t have to travel around the countryside trying to find one vendor. This way, you get spoils of ideas for your wedding day all under the one roof. And the vendors were amazing!
Not only did we have the pleasure to finally meet the gorgeous Sam and Laurel from Smith & Monger (the show hosts) but we saw ShootItYourself, the gang from Rock My Wedding, Cad and the Dandy (Groomswear) and so much more that I can’t tell you about because some of them are coming up in some spectacular posts over the coming weeks.
I could have chatted for hours to the vendors, we met some really, really nice people, not to mention the Chambord Cockatails – mmm hmmm!! That was a particular highlight of the day!
So as a little special something for those of you who couldn’t make the wedding show, we have the catwalk slideshow series starting on our YouTube channel now (first vid below) so keep an eye out on the Alice In Weddingland Youtube Channel for this and lots more videos in further. We’re calling them our little adventures and we’ll be showcasing vendors and more through them.
Heres the 1st Designer Catwalk showcase. More will be posted on the channel over the next few days.
But I totally understand that sometimes you just prefer to check out the scrapbook of images so heres a few plus a gallery from The National Wedding Show London, February 2012.
If you’ve never been to The Wedding Shows or even if you’re a vendor and have never attended the shows before then your missing a real treat, honestly! There is so much inspiration and so many nice people, you’ll have a ball.
The only thing I would’ve loved to have seen were more alternative wedding vendors. Weddings are so much more than tradition nowadays and it’s hard to search out all the amazing alternative, nontraditional vendors and to have some under the banner of a show like The National Wedding Show would be amazing: more choice, more styles!
Until then though, you have me 🙂 and the Alice In Weddingland wedding blog!!!
Have a frabjous friday folks.
