La Mascarada Beach Wedding in Costa Rica

La Mascarada Beach Wedding in Costa Rica

A Beach Wedding Wahooo!!

After feeling like a drowned-rat (and almost literally looking like one too) thanks to the non-stop rain on our week away last week, I had to come back with a sunnier disposition and what better way than grabbing a cuppa tea and perusing a stunning Costa Rican beach wedding (oh I wish!!!).  So for all of those who are again, enduring this lovely (not!) rainy day today, I hope this brings in a bit of sunshine!!!

Thanks to the awesome duo that is A Brit & A Blonde this wedding is superbly shown off by their stunning wedding photography.  I’m loving the ‘La Mascarada’ part of this wedding too.

So from a rainy week I bring you a sunny wedding!

A unique Steampunk wedding

A unique Steampunk wedding

Those of you who were lucky enough to have read the first edition of the Unique Bride Magazine already would have had a sneak peek into the Steampunk wedding I’m showcasing today by superb photographer Braedon Flynn.

‘Steampunk Up Your Wedding’, my article  featured in this months Unique Bride Magazine highlights the elements of Steampunk that you can use in your wedding: accessories period pieces, clocks, parasols, goggles and loads of gizmos and gadgets, all the details that add the Steampunk flare and Kate and Jacob effortlessly included most of these in their wedding.  They clearly put a lot of effort into creating their story and as you’ll see from the pictures the detail is amazing!  I wish I was at this wedding!  Loaded with corsets, this is a wedding after my own heart! Ka pow!!!

Real wedding: Alison and Scotts Vegas fairytale

Real wedding: Alison and Scotts Vegas fairytale

Elvis and Priscilla did it!

Crawford Gregoire EveryDetailPhotography unique wedding blog 24 Real wedding: Alison and Scotts Vegas fairytale Wedding Blog

And when Rob and I were getting married, we wanted to do it too!

We wanted to run off and get married in Vegas?  By Elvis himself {err well, not quite}. There is something fun, mystical and larger than life about getting married in Vegas.  Maybe it’s because I’ve been married before that the thought of the ‘big white wedding’ didn’t appeal to me, or maybe it’s just the Vegas charm that seduces me.  Either way, one day we hope to get there and renew our vows instead, with Elvis of course! However, today’s gorgeous couple did marry in Vegas, and in Vegas style too.

An eclectic real wedding: Kirsty and Tim’s Allstar adventure

An eclectic real wedding: Kirsty and Tim’s Allstar adventure

It’s Tuesday morning and I’m the only one awake!  The birds are tweeting their morning tunes like a compact audience of X-Factor wannabes and I’m up, alone, for the first time in years!  Seriously!  I am an Owl and cannot go to bed before 11pm every night so since having my baby girl, getting up early has not been my strong point.

This morning, the peace is comforting:  I’m sipping my morning Earl and contemplating what the weather will be like but since I’m taking Boo Bear swimming, I don’t really mind though.  For some reason this peace and quiet seems so profound, I have no idea why, maybe it’s just because I haven’t greeted a quiet morning for so long, but I like it.

And in my loud quiet, I have just been scrolling through the photos of Kirsty & Tim’s wedding again by Andy Pickard of Peacock Pix.  If you haven’t seen his stunning wedding photo that I featured last year, you MUST check it out.

Today’s real wedding is an Allstar packed alternative (non-traditional – that word I love) wedding loaded with specially died roses, fur capes and lots of purple!  Andy has captured the romance between this Bride & Groom beautifully: the photos make you want to fall in love again – or for us who are already in love – go and surprise our partners with a kiss.
