If you’re fed up with the bitterly cold weather we’ve had the last few days and like me, you’re dreaming about your summer holiday, then today’s Mood Board beautifully deigned by my talented and lovely Guest-blogger Stacey-Marie from Cherry Topped Bespoke Weddings will make you want to put your sun dress on. Bring on Spring!!!
Mood Board by Stacey-Marie Chalk, Cherry Topped bespoke Weddings
Spring is a season of blossoming growth and new life; a wonderful time of the year to get married. It makes me think of fresh pastel colours. I’ve chosen fluffy candyfloss pink and light lemonade yellow as inspiration for a spring wedding.
Fill your wedding with blooms of the season. I imagine an array of soft freesia, ranunculus, sweet peas and perhaps some tulips arranged in classic and simple white vases. Or if you’re having an Easter wedding, daffodils and narcissi are adorable. Your wedding day stationery can be inspired by the springtime florals, giving that English country garden feel.
Bring a little fun refreshment to your guests with a candyfloss cart and fresh pink and Sicilian lemonade in small milk bottles with funky stripy straws. Sweet treats are perfect as favours for a springtime wedding, little mini eggs are a cute way to subtly bring in Easter. If you’re feeling creative you could paint egg cups as place names. White twig trees are a wonderful idea for your table plan with hanging painted eggs or cut out birds and chicks.
Are you having a springtime wedding? What will you be having to bring that fresh spring feeling to your wedding day and your guests.
