Uniquely different, bold and extremely ethereal; bridal floral headpieces have made a comeback. Brides are ditching the stock standard tiara in favour of something more uniquely different, more bold and they’re making a statement with flowers.

Back in the day country maids would wind wildflowers, herbs and twine into a wreath to create uniquely personal headpieces for their wedding day. Then in the 80’s a revival of pouffy, flowery headpieces came on trend. And now, I’m happy to say, this trend is now firmly back in fashion only there’s no pouffy, no OTT – they’re beautiful, they’re feminine and they’re so unique. I wouldn’t suit one, but I love them all the same.

But is it for everyone? Would it suit you and how do you wear a bridal headpiece successfully? (More on that on 01.04.2013 – hehe).

But for now, here’s some stunning examples of bridal floral headpieces.

So would you wear one? Do you think there are certain flowers that just wouldn’t suit a headpiece. I’d love your thoughts!

I’ve never followed trends as I disliked being just one of the crowd so my love for things that are different, unusual, beautiful and stylistic that I’d had all my life transformed into Alice in Weddingland.
