12 alternative songs to walk down the aisle to

Posted May 1, 2013 by Zarn Ballentine in 2013

There is a time for ‘da da da daaaa’ and a time to get funky! If you’re not the traditional kind of Bride and want to inject some of your personality and swagger up the aisle instead then here’s a list of 12 funky alternative wedding songs.

  1. Bittersweet Symphony – The Verve (hear it)

  2. The First Day of My Life – Bright Eyes

  3. It’s oh so quite – Bjork

  4. Over the Rainbow – Israel Kamakawiwo

  5. Jorga – Bjork

  6. Marry Me – Train

  7. Never Tear Us Apart – Inxs

  8. The Blowers Daughter – Damien Rice

  9. One and Only – Adele

  10. I Do – Colbie Caillat

  11. True Love (Scarborough Fair) – Gypsy Soul

  12. Bob Sinclair – Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)

My top favourites are definitely Bob Sinclair for an absolutely twist on shocking your guests and getting them on high. It’s Oh So Quiet by Bjork for a quirky alternative to fun and One and Only by Adele for utter romance.
