As you’re all probably far to aware {thanks to my insistent blabbering about it} I am a huge fan of corsets!  I mean a HUGE, bigger than ‘gynormous’ (as my daughter says) fan.  When I layer a corset over my favourite pair of jeans I suddenly transformed from the inside out {as is my ribcage} like my fashion fairy godmother it never fails to make me feel feminine and sexy and there are often days where after too much washing cleaning and ironing I feel like the frumpy frills at the edge of my knickers… but a corset never fails to change that.  I adore an under bust corset over the top of a crisp white blouse or on its own.

Anyway, there is a point to my corset ramblings as today’s real wedding has a corset as the star of the Brides outfit and it is purely and simply divine!  A beautiful fabric, a stunning colour and Gwen’s figure is drop-dead-gorgeous in it!

A simple, rustic theme transformed the ground of Knepp Castle to a modern fairytale transporting Bride, Groom and Guests via a giant Lemon (you’ll see!).

From the Bride:

The dress was a jade green full length dupion silk and a jade green and black halter neck corset. To be honest if I didn’t need help getting in it I don’t think I would ever where anything else! Finding the dress was so simple it’s almost unbelievable. I did some research on the internet and found Fairy Goth Mother in Spitalfields.  I knew it was the one because my mum had a cry. One shop, one dress brilliantly simple.

Our photographer was Emma Lucy Photography, the final images from the day blew my mind to be honest and totally exceeded expectations in every way. As well as being a friend, her photographs are so beautiful and inspiring. I hoped for great things from Emma and what we got back was the most incredible set of images.

I’ve never followed trends as I disliked being just one of the crowd so my love for things that are different, unusual, beautiful and stylistic that I’d had all my life transformed into Alice in Weddingland.
